Terry James Laughlin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 29, 2026, in Midlothian, Texas, at the age of 74. Terry was born on February 1, 1951, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Ponca High School in 1969 and later attended Tonkawa Northern Oklahoma College.
Terry dedicated an impressive 40 years to the Sherwin Williams company, starting his journey in Ponca City and retiring proudly as a Protective and Marine Sales Representative. His work ethic and dedication to excellence were evident throughout his career, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Known for his ornery spirit and unwavering love for his family, Terry brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. His greatest pride was his devotion to his wife, Patricia Laughlin, and their son Cory Laughlin. He cherished every moment with his two grandchildren, Ella and Kayden.
Terry had a passion for the outdoors, with fishing being his favorite pastime, along with hunting, which provided him countless cherished memories. His deep love for family was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in everything he did.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Patricia Laughlin; brother, Michael Laughlin; son, Cory Laughlin; and grandchildren, Ella and Kayden. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Nadine Laughlin and Jim Laughlin, who forever hold a special place in his heart.
Visitation will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at the same location on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Longwood Cemetery.
Terry James Laughlin's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the remarkable impact he made on so many lives.
