Oscar Pat Braden, 88, of Ponca City, OK, died on January 20, 2024. Viewing will be from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home. A Graveside Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2024, at Longwood Cemetery with Chaplain Eric Garza officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.

Oscar was born on January 25, 1935, in Ponca City, OK, to George William and Nila Marie (Hadden) Braden. He married Sherry Walker at the Freewill Baptist Church on July 5, 1989. He was a Shriner and loved gardening. He cherished his wife, children and grandchildren.

Oscar is survived by: his wife, Sherry, of the home; daughter, Michelle McConnell and her husband, JR, of Shidler, OK; grandchildren, Tia McConnell, Hunter McConnell and wife Jaylea, and Jordan McConnell; great-granddaughter, Ellie Young; brother, Frank Braden and his wife, Carol of Ponca City, OK; and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Hunter McConnell, Jordan McConnell and Ken Bush. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
