Bessie Loraine Nelson, 85, of Shidler, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 27, 2015 at her residence. Bessie was born on March 3, 1929 in El Campo, TX to William and Bessie (Tanton) Bacak. Bessie married Lewis Lee Nelson on April 22, 1948. To this marriage, 6 children were born.

Bessie was an avid gardener; love her flowers and her birds. She and her husband, Lewis, spent many a day on the lake or the Gulf coast fishing. Lewis preceded her in death on October 4, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a grandson-Jason Michael Nelson.

Bessie is survived by her daughters; Lea Nelson of the home, Mary Jo Lee and husband Charles of Ponca City, OK, Judith Heath and husband Jim of Grainola, OK, Susie Houser and husband Phil of Ponca City, OK, sons; Pat Nelson and wife Debbie of Emory, TX and Mike Nelson and wife Maureen of Lindsay, OK. Grandchildren; Jed Heath, Jason Nelson, Joshua Heath, John Houser, Crystal Coble, Joe Houser, Tamara Armstrong, Dakota Nelson, Alex Nelson, Amanda Grisson, Donna Henson and Brad McNutt. Also survived by 18 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday March 4, 2015 at the Grandview Cemetery of Kaw City, OK with Chaplain Tom Howard of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma officiating.
