September 4th, 1928 - August 8th, 2019

Mary Ruth (DiVall) Bogert was born Sept. 4, 1928 at Shidler, Oklahoma, the 4th child of Frank DiVall and Ruth Lee (Russell) DiVall. She graduated from Shidler High School with her friends in the class of 1946. She met Bill Bogert at Oklahoma A&M and married him in September 1948, having a happy marriage for over 60 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her Mother, Father, Step-Mother (Frances) and 2 brothers, Frank DiVall jr. and Bob DiVall.

She is survived by her four children, Becky Bogert of Phoenix, Arizona, Debbie Bogert of Victoria, B.C., Canada, Tim Bogert of Plano, Texas and Jeff Bogert of Dallas, Texas. Mary’s greatest pleasure was making a home for Bill and her children. She adored her three grandsons, Dustin Reeder, Michael Reeder, and Taylor Pratt. She is also survived by her two sisters, Pat Hartman of Manhattan, Kansas, and Dorothy Douglas of Oklahoma City.

There will be a private graveside service at Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, OK on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11 am. A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 14th at Village Christian Church, 9401 Ridgeview Drive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Village Christian Church where Mary had been an active member: 9401 Ridgeview Drive, Oklahoma City, OK, 73120.

William Max Bogert passed away on June 7, 2009 at the age of 85 in Oklahoma City.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Mary their two daughters, Becky of Phoenix, Arizona and Debbie of Vancouver, British Columbia two sons, Tim of Plano, Texas and Jeff of Dallas, Texas and three grandsons, Dustin Reeder, Michael Reeder, and Taylor Pratt. Also survived by two brothers, Frank of Sand Springs and Richard of Oklahoma City and one sister, Mary Helen Iselin of Enid.

He was predeceased by his brother, Donald, and his parents.

He was born on May 16, 1924 near Enid, Oklahoma, to Frank (Bud) and Helen Lynch Bogert. Bill married Mary DiVall in Shidler, Oklahoma, on September 5, 1948. He received a B.S. degree in engineering from Oklahoma A&M (OSU) in 1949. Bill served in World War II with the Corps of Engineers and later received a commission in the infantry in France serving with the 45th Division. He was a liaison pilot in Korea, flying more than 300 missions for which he received several medals.

Bill retired after 44 years in the oil business, having worked both in domestic and international land and offshore operations. He had fond memories of his more than 20 years in Canada, primarily in Alberta. Among his many achievements in his oil profession was to be assigned as the first supervisor for the JOIDES project for the U.S. oceanographic institution and for the drilling on the Grand Banks offshore Newfoundland. He was an ardent golfer and sports fan. Bill was an involved member of Northwest Christian Church.

He was a good man who was engaged in life and enjoyed people. He was a wonderful husband and father and a friend to many. We love him and will miss him.

A family graveside service was held in Grandview Cemetery, Kaw City. The Memorial Service will be held at Northwest Christian Church on Wednesday, June 10th at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be sent to Northwest Christian Church, 2828 NW 30th, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
