July 14, 1945 - December 29, 2022

Carol S. McCombs, 77, of Newkirk, OK, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of December 29, 2022, surrounded by her family. A celebration of her life will be held at the First Christian Church in Newkirk at 1:00 in the afternoon on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Carol was born in Tulsa, OK in the summer of 1945 to Edward and Georgia. She graduated from Kaw City High School and continued on to Northern Oklahoma College and then Northeastern State University. She was employed by the Kay County Courthouse. Carol was the beloved wife of Larry McCombs. She was the much loved mother of Todd and wife Mandy McCombs and Marcie and husband Mike Smith. Cherished Grammy of Alicia Thompson, Kourtney Evans, Meaghan Thompson, Kameron McCombs, Zack McCombs, and Hailey Stone. Carol was the absolute best GiGi of Parker Evans, Maddox Thompson, Greyson Summitt, Ryker Thompson, Mason Evans, and Jaxtyn Summitt. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends. Carol was preceded in death by both parents as well as, her brother Bud.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory at 505 West Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
