Bobby Junior Stowers went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. He resided at 326 E. Lincoln, Lamont, Okla. He was 72.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. today, March 6, 2009, at United Methodist Church, Lamont, with Rev. David Bigger officiating. Burial will follow in Braman Cemetery under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.

Bob was born June 23, 1936, in Pond Creek, Okla., the son of Vance and Tressie (Barwick) Stowers.

He married Patsy Schneeberger Aug. 16, 1960, in Newkirk, Okla.

He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His grandchildren were the second love of his life.

In his early years he worked in the oil fields and also was a butcher at the Turkey Packing Plant in Blackwell. He later drove a semi truck for United Farm Tool (Wetmore) in Tonkawa. In 1999, he started his own business as B.J. Transport delivering horse trailers all over the U.S. and Canada.

Surviving are his wife, Patsy, of the home; three daughters, Raylene LeRoy and husband Bruce of Ponca City, Teresa Wilmot and husband Ed of Lamont, and Deborah Klinger and husband Mark of Tonkawa; one son, Mike Wright and wife Jill of Mooreland, Okla.; one sister, Joyce Autry and one brother, Jim Stowers, both of Pond Creek; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Tressie, two sisters and five brothers.

Casket bearers will be grandsons, Vance and Brett Wilmot, Heath Wright and brothers-in-law, Larry, Lonnie, Don and Daniel Schneeberger.

Honorary casket bearers will be grandson, Austin Klinger; brothers-in-law, Dennis Schneeberger, Leo Spears; nephews, Marty Schneeberger and Kenneth Spears; and friend, Dexter Hutchens.

The family will be at 326 E. Lincoln, Lamont.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love.
