February 28, 1936 - January 13, 1939

Vernon Dale Shoffner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Shoffner, was born February 28, 1936 and departed from this life January 13, 1939 at the age of two years, 10 months and 16 days. He leaves to mourn his loss his father, mother and three brothers, Harold, Billy and Wayne, 17, 16 and 15 years respectively.

Also are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Austin and a number of aunts and uncles and cousins.

A loved one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still,
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

Vernon Dale was a sweet, lovable little boy,
The idol of the home.
Words fail to express our deep sorrow
Our Darling has gone.
For Earth he was too fair,
He's gone to heaven
To blossom there.
