Martha Magdeline Sexton of Braman, Oklahoma, entered the gates of Heaven Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital, Blackwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years.

Martha Magdeline Sexton was born on December 2, 1931 in Garber, Oklahoma, to Raleigh and Dorothy (Burroughs) Norris. She attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1950. She married George W. Sexton, Jr. on November 10, 1951. She worked as the secretary for Braman Public Schools, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed music, flower gardening, watching butterflies and her community of Braman. She attended Braman United Methodist Church and was a prayer warrior. She was an awesome wife, precious mom and completely devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband, George Sexton of Braman; two daughters, Deborah Moeder and husband Mark of Topeka, Kansas, and Tammie Lucas and husband Herb of Blackwell; three grandchildren, Nathan Moeder and wife Katie of Topeka, Kansas, Tasha Lucas of Blackwell, and Tara Lucas of Blackwell; two great grandchildren, Jax Lucas of Blackwell, and Emily Moeder and another on the way of Topeka, Kansas, and; three sisters, Mary Elisabeth Sexton of Porum, Oklahoma, Florence Campbell of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Naomi Tipps of Castle Rock, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at the Braman United Methodist Church, Braman, Oklahoma, with Rev Trish Harris, Braman United Methodist Church, and Rev. C.M. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Braman Cemetery, Braman, Oklahoma. Her family will be receiving visitors, 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Roberts and Son Funeral Home, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Casketbearers will be Jose Arteaga, Charley Arteaga, Rusty Partee, Nathan Moeder, Herb Lucas and Mark Moeder. Honorary casketbearers will be Mike Johnson, Jim Kincaid, Don Hobaugh, Clint Moore, Randy Moore, Greg Moore, Harold LeValley, Dennis Burroughs and Tommy Hertz.

A memorial has been established with the Braman United Methodist Church c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 West Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
