DEPUTY IN KAY TREASURY OFFICE DIES IN WINFIELD
Mary Elizabeth Hartman, first deputy in the Kay County treasurerys office since 19??, died at 11:36 a.m. Sunday in William Newton Memorial hospital in Winfield. She was admitted to the hospital Nov. 10.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Roberts & Son Chapel with Rev. Lew Davis, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Braman Cemetery.
She resided at 125 1/2 South Walnut in Newkirk.
Miss Hartman was almost a lifelong resident of Kay county, born at Mountain View, Mo., and coming to Oklahoma at the opening of the Cherokee Strip with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Hartman. The family moved to Braman later.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Braman and the Business and Professional Women's club at Newkirk.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Woodruff of Blackwell, and Mrs. Hazel Dickason of Parsons, Kans.; and two brothers, Bill Hartman of Perry and Frank Hartman of Blackwell.
