MRS. HARTMAN DIES ON FRIDAY
Pioneer woman came to Kay County in 1894, Living near Braman.
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hartman, 76, pioneer resident of Kay county died at her home four and one-half miles northeast of Braman, at 5:20 o'clock Friday evening following a long illness.
No funeral arrangements had been made late Friday. The Roberts Mortuary is in charge.
Mrs. Hartman settled on the home farm in the spring of 1894.
She is survived by her husband F. A. Hartman; six daughters and 3 sons.

OBITUARY
Elizabeth Shelton, born near Iberia, Mo., December 26, 1861, departed this life at 5:20 p.m. April 15, 1938, at the age of 76 years, three months and 19 days.
She obeyed the gospel at an early age and lived a devoted Christian life to the end.
On October 7, 1883 she was united in marriage to Franklin A. Hartman at Mountain View, Mo., where they resided until coming to Oklahoma at the opening of the outlet.
She is survived by her husband, F. A. Hartman; six daughters, Martha of the home; Mrs. R. E. Myers of Braman, Mrs. E. L. Woodruff of Blackwell and Mary, Bessie, and Hazel of Newkirk; three sons, Charles of Braman, William of Perry and Frank of Blackwell; also a nephew, Colley Hartman who was a member of the home for some time. Besides these there are four grandchildren, Betty Jo and Violet Anne Myers and Margalee and Lavetta Hartman; two grandchildren, Uleta Yvonne and Melvin Dee Hartman passed away in infancy.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 17, at 3 o'clock in the Church of Christ at Braman with the Reverend Peeples in charge. Interment was in the Braman cemetery.
The frail hands which did so much for others are motionless now and the truthful eyes have closed in the sleep that knows no earthly awakening but her deeds will outlive her years and her influence will remain an eternal monument to her memory.
