Dale Leroy Hamburger formerly of Kaw City, Oklahoma, passed away in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on December 11, 2020 at the age of 80 years.

Dale was born on April 19, 1940 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was the son of Everett and Bernice (Roesler) Hamburger. He grew up in Weatherford attending Weatherford Public Schools, graduating from Weatherford High School in 1959. He entered the United States Air Force in May 1960.

Following his discharge then furthered his education at Okmulgee Tech.

He married Neta Kay Poling on April 1, 1961 and they had two sons, Keith and Kent. He began working for Conoco in 1966 as a Draftsman.

On April 30, 1982 he married Etta “Eileen” DeBoard and they made their home in Kaw City. In 1990 he was transferred with Conoco to Denver, Colorado, retiring in 1999. He then contracted with Suncor until his retirement in 2013. They then moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arlen Hamburger and Herbert Hamburger; one sister, Joy Rea; two grandchildren, Brendajo Hamburger White Star and Jason Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen DeBoard of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two sons, Keith Hamburger of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kent Hamburger of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two step-daughters, Debbie DeWitt and husband Ron of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Stephanie Kimberling and husband Lance of Summerville, South Carolina; one step-son, Mike Smith of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at Braman Cemetery.

Honorary casket bearers will be Mark Hamburger, Kelsey Ladenburger, Kylie Ladenburger, Jeramy Auld, Jared Auld and Jenna Honeycutt.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice of Tulsa, or a hospice of the donor’s choice, sent in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
