Larry Schneeberger
January 20, 1943 - October 30, 2025
Larry Glenn Schneeberger, born January 20, 1943, in Braman, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on October 30, 2025. Viewing will be between 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm, Monday, November 3, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Freewill Baptist. Burial will immediately follow at Braman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK, 74601.
Larry was the son of Ira Schneeberger and Alma Kitchel Schneeberger. He attended school in Braman, Oklahoma, and graduated from Ponca City High School. Larry proudly served in the National Guard and later worked for Bill Carmichael, Turvey Packing, and the Ranch Drive Co-op, where he retired after 25 years of dedicated service. A self-taught mechanic, Larry could fix nearly anything. If it were broken, he'd try to repair it, and usually it stayed running. His mechanical skill and determination were unmatched, and he took pride in finding solutions to any challenge he faced.
Family was the heart of Larry's world. Wherever you saw Larry, his son Marty was not far behind-an unbreakable bond. Larry was intensely proud of his daughter, Marcie, her husband, Byron Corwin, and his grandsons, Landon, Logan, and Ian Corwin. Though keeping up with their busy schedules in sports, college, and medical school was no easy task, Larry stayed connected, proud of their goals and accomplishments. He also adored his beloved daughter-in-law, Samantha, and her three girls, who brought him great joy. Larry enjoyed spending endless hours in the hayfield with Marty, sowing wheat and soybeans and feeding cattle. His hobbies included coon hunting and fishing, pastimes that reflected his love for the outdoors and simple pleasures in life.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Alma; sister, Shirley Spears, and her husband, Leo; brothers, Jimmy, Bobby, and Jerry Schneeberger; sisters, Darlene Schneeberger and Maxine Schoonover; and brother-in-law, Bob Stowers, and sister-in-law, Ruthie Schneeberger. He is survived by his daughter, Marcie Corwin, husband, Byron; his son, Marty Schneeberger, wife, Samantha; grandchildren, Landon, Logan, Ian Corwin, and Kylee, Karter, and Kenna James; his sister, Patsy Stowers; and his brothers, Lonnie, Don, Daniel, and Dennis Schneeberger.
To know Larry was to appreciate his soft-spoken manner and gentle heart. His mechanical knowledge was remarkable, but his true legacy lies in his resilience and unwavering love for his family. His hands may rest, but his spirit will continue to guide those he loved.
