Woodruff Rites Set Monday
Final rites have been set for 2 p.m. Monday in Roberts and Son Chapel for Mrs. Minnie M. Woodruff, 77, a longtime resident of Blackwell.
Mrs. Woodruff was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-car collision three miles south of Blackwell on Interstate 35 at Hubbard Road.
She was a lifelong resident of Kay county, born in Braman on August 27, 1895. She lived northeast of Braman until 1914 when she married Ed Woodruff. They moved to Tonkawa and resided there until 1935, moving at that time to Blackwell.
Mrs. Woodruff was a member of the First Christian Church and was a past worthy matron of Blackwell Chapter 51, order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Blackwell Business and Professional Women's club and belonged to Blackwell China Decoraters club.
She resided at 427 East Blackwell. Her husband preceded her in death in 1948.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Hazel Dickason of Parsons, Kas. and two brothers, Bill Hartman of Perry and Frank Hartman of Blackwell.
Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
