Timothy James Wilson of Zapata, Texas, died Sunday, July 10, 2016, at his home at the age of 59 years.

Timothy James Wilson was born in Houston, Texas on November 4, 1956 to David Wilson and Carole Childers. He was raised in Houston, Texas and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated from high school. He served his country in the United States Air Force, and then went on to work as a Journeyman for KG&E Electric Company for 28 years, before retiring and returning to work for Kenny Construction. Timothy loved his family, fishing, being outdoors, collecting t-shirts and hats, going to the beach in Cancun, Mexico, and sports (Go Jayhawks!).

He is survived by his mother Carole Childers of Blackwell, Oklahoma; sisters Diana Roseborough and husband Patrick of Moore, Oklahoma, Denise Hindman and husband Clint of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Dedra Marcom and husband Barry of Houston, Texas; nephews Princeton and Patrick Roseborough, Shawn LaBlue, Talan Plott, Nathan Hindman, and Christopher and Aaron Marcom; nieces Shannon (Mark) Plott, Finley Plott, Ashley Campbell, Alisha Campbell, and her soon to be husband J.R. Harrison, and Natasha Hindman. He is also survived by beloved Jina Wilson Gannon, as well as step mother Lynda Wilson.

He is preceded in death by his father David Wilson, and grandparents Willard and Irene Wilcox.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Kyle Jones of First Christian Church of Blackwell, Oklahoma officiating.

A memorial has been established in his honor with First Christian Church c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
