February 14, 1918 - January 23, 2015

Lucy M. Wideman was born February 14, 1918 in Asher, Arkansas to Virgle and Mollie Wheeler Davenport. She died January 23, 2015 in Oklahoma City, OK. Lucy spent a great majority of her life in the Blackwell, OK area where she raised an incredible family with her husband Ordith Wideman. To briefly describe Lucy's impact on her family is difficult as she was simply "the rock" for her children. Upon her husband's death in 1972, Lucy decided to take up a sales job with Tupperware where she did quite well and quickly became known as the Tupperware lady for northern Oklahoma. Upon retiring from that role, she enjoyed her time selling lady's clothing at a boutique shop in Blackwell.

Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Ordith; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Wideman; son-in-law, Alfred Kelly; and 6 brothers, Raymond, Harvey, Hayden, Otis, Albert, & Truman Davenport; and one sister, Iva. She is survived by one brother, Tom Davenport; 3 sisters, Opal, Gennie, and Mary; and her children, Ethel Kelly, Virginia Frost and husband Bill, Mary Christine Wideman, Charles Wideman and wife Pat, Carol Mason and husband Archie, Judy Meritt and husband Jim, and Betty McNett and husband Eddie. She will also be missed by her 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 16 great great-grandchildren.

A service celebrating Lucy's life were held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church in Blackwell, OK under the direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond. Burial followed at Blackwell Cemetery.
