Shirley Ann Watson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died on October 19, 2011, in Sperry, Oklahoma, at the age of 66 years.

Shirley Ann Watson was born on February 18, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy (Burgett) Cassie, She moved with her family to Blackwell at a young age where she attended Blackwell Public Schools. On April 6, 1962, she married David Ted Watson Jr. and they made their home in Blackwell where she served her family as a homemaker. On July 11, 1997, David preceded her in death and she continued to make Blackwell her home. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by one daughter, Kelli Ward and husband Jerry of Skiatook, Oklahoma; three sons, David Watson III and wife Wilma of Sperry, Oklahoma, Barry Watson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and James Watson of Blackwell; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, Jim Cassie of Tuttle, Oklahoma.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brian Keith Watson; one grandchild; and one sister, Delores Ernest.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Roberts and Son Funeral Chapel, Blackwell, Oklahoma, with Rev. Frank Tepe officiating, Christ Church, Blackwell, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

A memorial has been established with Clarehouse hospice in her memory in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
