Carl Thomas Thompson, formerly of Blackwell, passed away in Ponca City on July 25, 2026 at the age of 96 years.
Carl Thomas Thompson was born in Depew, Oklahoma on January 10, 1930. He was the son of Willie and Opal (Wheeler) Thompson. He grew up in Depew, attending Depew Public Schools, and graduating with the class of 1948.
Following his education, he married Twila Laws, and made their home in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He soon began working for International Milling Company, where he would work for forty years, until his retirement. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters; daughters: Maxine Gaskill and Gayla Rogers; and one son: Dennis Thompson.
He is survived by one son, Roy Thompson and wife Janet of Edmond, Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Blackwell Cemetery. Burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his memory with ACG Hospice of Ponca City, c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
