Ryan Jay Stout of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in the Ponca City Regional Medical Center at the age of 46 years.

Ryan Jay Stout was born on August 2, 1971, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Jay Charles and Kathrine Fern (Sisney) Stout. At the age of fifteen days, he moved with his family to Ponca City where he attended Ponca City Public Schools and graduated in 1988. Following his education he worked as a counselor at Northern Oklahoma Youth Services and raised horses. In the mid-1990’s he moved to Tulsa and worked at his aunt’s day care center. He later became a professional bull rider. That passion led him to become a bull fighter and rodeo clown for PRCA events. In August of 2003 he was accepted into the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. He also coached junior high wrestling at East Junior High School for eight years. He enjoyed training dogs and making Native American artifacts.

He is survived by his parents; Jay and Kathy Stout of Ponca City; a son, Daltyn Stout of Ponca City; two sisters, Jaylene Grider of Sanger, Texas, and Julia “Leeann” Robbins of Ponca City; an special uncle, Kent Sisney of Ponca City; nephews, Matthew Grider, Jaylance Robbins and Joshua Stout; great nephew, Aydin Summers; great niece, Aleea Claire Summers; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Jaclynn Sue Enochs; a brother, Lance Ryan Stout; grandparents, Ralph Stout, Alta O’Dell, and Art and Fern Sisney; a cousin, Shara Sisney; and his godfather, Richard Cooper.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29th in the Blackwell Cemetery with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Paul Sisney, Jimmy Stout, Jarrod Sisney, Kyle Sisney, L. K. Sisney and Chuck Robbins. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Art Sisney, Kent Sisney, Leroy Sisney, Jim Sisney, Alfred Stout and Riley Sisney.

A memorial has been established in his honor with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
