Funeral services for Doris Marie Stout, 85, Stigler resident, will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Driftwood Fellowship (421 California North Enid) with Pastor Damond Burpo officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Oklahoma, under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Doris was born on September 15, 1933 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Virgil and Flossie Ward Fisher, and passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 in Enid. She attended Blackwell Schools until the 10th grade. She married and moved to Eastern, Oklahoma where she worked in the cotton fields and became a minister’s wife. Doris worked in home healthcare as well as a cake decorator. She liked to sing and play the piano at church, also, hunting and fishing.

Doris moved to Stigler, Oklahoma to take care of her husband until his passing. Recently, Doris moved to Enid where she was cared for by her sister, Verda. Working her whole life, Doris loved Jesus and her church.

Survivors include brothers Robert Fisher of Blackwell and Ralph Gable, of Quinton; sister Verda Gable of Enid; numerous nieces and nephews.
