Mildred Louise Wilson Smith, 84, of Blackwell, passed away on January 31, 2020 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Mildred was born in McDonald County, Missouri on Easter Sunday, April 21, 1935, the daughter of Alvie Bray and Cecil (Pendergraft) Bray. She moved with her family to Blackwell in December 1951. She married Robert Wilson on February 29, 1952 and they made Blackwell their home. He preceded her in death in 1992. She later married Willard Smith. He also preceded her in death.

She worked at Sonic in Blackwell for over 17 years. She was lovingly referred to as “Sonic Mama.” She also worked at Bob’s Grill for several years, as well as Alpha II.

She was an active and involved member at the Blackwell Tabernacle, and a member of Chickaskia Valley Reach CB Club.

She is survived by six daughters, Delores Bates, Glenda Wilkerson, Roberta Bales, Alice Savary, Karen Wilson, Diane Stout; three sons, Robert Wilson, Gary Wilson and Alvie Wilson; siblings, Bonnie Gingerich, Wanda Beck, Cleta Skaggs and Ronald Bray; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Wilson and Willard Smith; siblings, Eva Rancier, Arlie Bray; and granddaughters, Tammy Honeycutt and Mistie Ellington.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the Blackwell Tabernacle, 1013 N. 9th, Blackwell, OK 74631 with Rev. Cliff Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blackwell Tabernacle, sent in c/o the funeral home.
