Diane Bea Sprague
January 12, 1939 - June 26, 2023

Diane Bea Sprague went to be with her precious Lord and Savior on June 26, 2023. Diane was born on January 12, 1939 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to William and Glenora Scott. She grew up in Blackwell, and after graduating from Blackwell High School, Diane attended Northern Oklahoma College. In 1963, she met the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" Sprague, while getting a Coke at Sonic Drive-In. They married on July 6, 1964, and Chuck adopted Diane's son Scott. Six years later, they adopted their daughter Jennifer.

Chuck and Diane resided in Blackwell about 42 years. While there, Diane was involved in many things including PEO, Beta Sigma Phi, Bible studies, and serving as church librarian. She was also the main coordinator for the United Way variety show and the Centennial Style Show committee. Diane enjoyed reading and needlework, but spending time with her family and friends was her ultimate joy. She especially loved being able to spend precious time with all her grandchildren when they were younger.

Diane also enjoyed giving and receiving greeting cards and will be forever known as one of the most loving and selfless human beings. She touched an immeasurable number of lives, and we all were greatly blessed to have her as a mother, nana, and friend.

Diane is survived by her son Scott (Pam) Sprague of Blackwell, daughter Jennifer Clarida of Edmond, granddaughter Alyson (Chris), grandson Trevor, grandson Parker, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Chuck of 57 years, and their infant son, Teddy.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 1st in the First Christian Church in Blackwell with James W. Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Blackwell Cemetery.

A memorial in her honor has been established with the First Christian Church, 306 E. Coolidge, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631 or Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, 445 Fairview, Ponca City, Oklahoma 74601.
