Nancy Elaine Skaggs of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Tuesday morning, January 11, 2022, at her home at the age of 65 years.

Elaine Skaggs was born on July 20, 1956, in Blackwell to Owen Edward and Margaret Nancy (Ebright) Grace. She grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools. Following her education, she married Steve Pennington in 1973 and she served her family as a homemaker. She later married Frank Skaggs on September 20, 2008, in Blackwell and she continued caring for her family. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Blackwell. She enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She loved spending time with her family, especially enjoying birthday parties and cookouts. She also enjoyed going with her friends to casinos and cooking big meals for all to enjoy. She always made sure there was plenty of food for everyone.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Skaggs of Blackwell; daughters, Brandy Bojorquez and husband Cesar, Jane Thomason and husband Dan, and Kathy Conrad and husband Ron; sons, Kurt Pennington and wife Becky, and Ed Skaggs and wife Julie; grandchildren, Elysa Pennington, Blake Bojorquez, Kolby Pennington, Angela Bojorquez, Alberto Bojorquez, Aubree Pennington, Jake Pennington, Jimmy Thomason and wife Brook, Robert Thomason, Jami Thomason, Leslie Thomason, Grady Conrad, Cortne Rogers and Austin Skaggs; and great grandchildren, Wrenley Bojorquez, Cody, Brianne, Ja'Niya, Bowdy, Dayne and Dalianey Thomason, Alexis Skaggs, Kendlyn and Skylien Rogers, Owen and Lakota Ewing and TayLynn Brandt; a great great grandchild, Ares Ward; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Adam Pennington; a brother, Tommy Grace, and a sister, Lora Hockett.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 24th at the First United Methodist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Daniel Rickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Kurt Pennington, Blake Bojorquez, Cesar Bojorquez, Eddie Skaggs, Austin Skaggs and Ron Conrad.

A memorial has been established in her honor with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
