Mary Elizabeth Pratt of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Monday evening, September 30, 2019, at her home at the age of 73 years.

Mary Elizabeth Pratt was born on May 8, 1946, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Thomas James and Jennie Irene (Jaquess) Sechrest. She grew up in North Carolina, Texas and New Mexico. Following her education she returned to North Carolina and began working in the textile manufacturing industry. In 2015 she moved to Blackwell and married Verlin Pratt on June 17, 2015, and they made Blackwell their home. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell and enjoyed sewing and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Verlin Pratt of Blackwell; a daughter, Janette Lippard of Connelly Springs, North Carolina; two sons, Mike Lippard of Hildebran, North Carolina, and Charles “Red” Lippard of Bethlehem, North Carolina; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 4th in the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her honor with First Free Will Baptist Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
