Verlin Pratt of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday, February 4, 2022, in St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 75 years.

Verlin Lawrence Pratt was born on February 22, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma, the son of A.C. Pratt and Nellie Gertrude (Peck) Pratt. He attended Okmulgee Tech and later Southern Nazarene University.

He worked for Nickerson Farms for several years and later went to work for One Gas Company. Following his retirement, he worked at Blackwell Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce C. Pratt; children, Carmetti L. (Pratt) Klien and husband Curtis, Sandra L. Pratt, Penny L. Pratt, Arlene L. Pratt, Jirrel L. Pratt and wife Melanie and Amanda C. (Pratt) Hoggard and husband James; step-daughter, Debbie Steel Barlett and Todd; mother, Nellie G. Pratt; sister, Anna C. (Pratt) Beard and husband Glen; grandchildren, Evan, Cady, Cory, Billa, Becca, Derek, Joshua, Christopher, Kiel, Abigail, Zachary, DaMaira, Morgan, Samantha, Alexander, Scott, Carlee, Isabelle, Brooklyn, Elizabeth; 19 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way; as well as step-children, Scott Kickland and wife Linda, Joe Kickland and wife Marla, Loren Kickland and wife Greta, Deanna (Steele) Krier and husband Tod), and Roberta (Steele) Timmons and husband Jim.

He was preceded in death by his father, A.C. Pratt; as well as several other family members.

Verlin will be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, and papa/grandpa.

Private burial will take place at Blackwell Cemetery.
