February 21, 1936 - September 27, 2021

Frances Moore, longtime Blackwell, Oklahoma resident, died September 27, 2021, at the age of 85. Her burial was attended by family graveside at the Blackwell cemetery on Saturday, October 2.

Frankie was born on February 21, 1936, in Talala, Oklahoma, the eldest child of Ernest and Geneva (Rose) Laughlin. She moved with her family to Blackwell as a child. She married Max Moore on November 14, 1953, in Blackwell.

Mom lived a life of creativity and curiosity. She was a needle, thread, fabric & yarn enthusiast. Employed by Cupid Foundations for more than 25 years, her career began as a sewer and grew to overseeing quality control and training for the company. At home, she was always in the act of creating. She crafted art and lovingly made clothing & quilts for herself, her family, friends and customers alike.

Frankie was inquisitive of the people & cultures that she encountered and seized opportunities to deepen her understanding of and connections with others. She was intrigued by the natural world and had a particular fondness for the songbirds and plant life within it. Frankie enjoyed hot cups of tea, fresh vegetables, good books, profound quotes, and dusty backroad drives of discovery and reminiscence. She also volunteered time to her children’s activities, the Top of Oklahoma museum, Kay County fairs and elections, as well as the First United Methodist Church of Blackwell, where she was a member. She was a good soul and is dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband Max Moore of Blackwell, her four children, Dee Glenny and Della McAllister of Blackwell, Debbie Liles of Texas and son Derrick Moore of Ohio, and six grandchildren, Jeff Glenny and wife Karen of Georgia, Amanda Bradford of Alabama, Sarah Glenny and partner Dan Berndt of Colorado, Braxston Yunker and partner Kayla Urban of Blackwell, and Nathan & Quinn Moore of Ohio as well as 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ted, Bobby and Mike Laughlin, sister Tanda Kramm, son-in-law Jeff Glenny, as well as granddaughter, Megan Glenny and great granddaughter, Montana Glenny.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Blackwell, 301 W Blackwell Ave, Blackwell, OK 74631.
