Alice Moore had a special talent of making every person she knew feel special, joyful and loved. Heaven was enhanced on April 19, 2015 when Alice joined her Lord and loved ones in Heaven.

Alice Turvey Moore, a resident of Odessa, TX, was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, on May 22, 1926. Alice was the second child of five of Grace and Harold Turvey. Family was always most important to Alice, and that family grew with husband Tom Anderson and daughter Linda Burdic and husband Jack, granddaughter Marta Williams and her husband, Chad, grandson Jay Metcalf, his wife Jill and sons Justin and his family, and son Bradley and his wife. In 1994 Alice married Norman "Cheezy" Moore. Alice and Cheezy shared love and laughter until his death in 2000, 15 years to the day preceding Alice's last day. Marriage to Cheezy added family members, son David Moore and wife Linda and family, daughter Candy Homsey and husband Lynn and family.

If Christianity had a poster child, Alice Moore was the model. Her daily living displayed her love for the Lord. Her abundance of daily phone calls and cheery cards will be greatly missed by many friends and family. No greater testament to her Christian values could be shown than through her care of her ex-husband, Tom, during his last days. Her last days were filled with sweetness, some laughter, tears and heartfelt conversation surrounded by those she loved most. Her daily example made us all strive to be a little kinder and more loving.

In addition to Alice's daughter, Linda, and family she is survived by brothers, Bill Turvey and his family, George Turvey and his family, sister Carol Sjoberg and her family. She was preceded in death by father, Harold Turvey, mother, Grace Turvey, brother, Allen Turvey and husband, Norman Moore.

A graveside service will be held at 10a.m., Wednesday, April 22nd in the Blackwell Cemetery. A memorial service at the Wesley Evangelical Methodist Church in Odessa, Texas will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 11:00 am, services will be conducted by Reverend Ronnie Newton.

In lieu of flowers, we suggest you send donations to the charity of your choice.
