Marietta Ilean (Looper) Lute, of Blackwell, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 17, 2018 at her home with family by her side. She was 71.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Christ's Church of Blackwell where she was a member. Following the celebration, she will be laid to rest at the Blackwell Cemetery. Viewing will start on Thursday, September 20th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Marietta was born on September 16, 1947 to James "Bus" and Kathryn (Lee) Looper in Blackwell. In March of 1988 she married Stephen DeWayne Lute. She worked for 12 years at ACME Foundry as a machine operator.

She is survived by her husband Steve of the home; daughter: Sabrina and her husband Chad Barnes of Blackwell; grandchildren: Laecan, Riley, Kiser and Brock Barnes, all of Blackwell.

Marietta is preceded in death by both of her parents and one brother, Marvin L. Looper.
