January 21, 1943 - December 24, 2020

On Thursday December 24th 2020, Larry Charles Jones, loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather passed away at age 77.

Larry was born to Wilmer and Esther Jones on January 21st, 1943 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Larry is survived by his wife Mary Jones, and his children, Kim Rigdon, Tina Faagai and Mary Jones. There are nine grandchildren, Samantha Prince, Grant Rigdon, Gunar Rigdon, Justin Jones, Chaz Wilson, Railey Wilson, Simeon Faagai, Fate Jones and Lyric Jones. Larry had numerous great-grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Wilmer Jones, his son, Larry Richard Jones and grandchild, Quintin Day.

Larry joined the Oklahoma National Guard right after his high school graduation and was honorably discharged in 1991 as SFC 1st Class Staff Sergeant, retiring in 2003. Larry received an Oklahoma Commendation Medal in 1979, a Certificate of Commendation in July 1984, a Commendation for outstanding performance June 1985, an Oklahoma Commendation medal in July 1987, May 1988 and May 1985.

Larry enjoyed music and played guitar with the Mello-Tones for many years.

A funeral will be held on January 6th at 1:30 PM at Blackwell Tabernacle Church, 1013 N. 9th St.
