Glenda Marie Garriga of Ponca City, Oklahoma, died early Sunday morning, June 16, 2019, at her son’s home in Ponca City at the age of 74 years.

Glenda Marie Garriga was born on September 16, 1944, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Glen and Thelma (Mann) Stewart. She grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1962. Following her education she married Russell Hargraves and they lived where he was stationed in the Navy. She later returned to Blackwell and began working in the Kay County Court Clerks office in both Blackwell and Newkirk and worked there for over twenty years. She married Charles Abbott and they made Blackwell their home. She later began working in customer service for RCB Bank in Ponca City. She married Greg Garriga in Kansas and they settled in Blackwell. She later moved to Ponca City to make her home. She was a member of the Woodlands Christian Church in Ponca City and served as a R.S.V.P. volunteer. She enjoyed all types of crafts.

She is survived by her son, David Hargraves and wife Liz of Ponca City; a sister, Charlotte Ruggs of Blackwell; two grandchildren, Ayden Hargraves and Sasha McGuire, both of Ponca City; and two great grandchildren, Chloe and Noah McGuire of Ponca City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Shirley Porter.

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 21st in the Blackwell Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Sweetman of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma officiating.

A memorial has been established in her honor with Hospice of North Central Oklahoma in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
