Jo Lavone Fearnow
January 17, 1939 - March 17, 2022

Jo L. Fearnow, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, gained her angel wings the morning of March 17, 2022, at Baptist Village in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years.

Jo Lavone Fearnow was born on January 17, 1939, in Blackwell, Oklahoma the daughter of Bert A. Kennedy and Lola M. (Epperly) Kennedy. She attended Braman schools until her family moved to California where she attended and later graduated from El Rancho High School. She went on to graduate from cosmetology school and she worked as a housekeeper at Blackwell Hospital for over 30 years.

Jo worked all her life, always providing for and taking care of others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, watching wheel of fortune, and playing bingo.

Survivors include a daughter, Stacy Watkins and husband, Jimmy of El Reno, Oklahoma; siblings, Dorothy Dallas of Jennings, Oklahoma, Delores Malcolm of Alva, Oklahoma, Jack Kennedy of Chino, California; grandchildren, Jamie Wehling and husband, Shane, Dylan Utt, Chandra Utt; great-grandchildren, Dakota Wehling, Paxtyn Riley and Kolten Wehling, due in June 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Frank Kennedy, Grace Dallas, Marguerite, Virginia, and two sisters that passed away in infancy, Lilly Louise and Wanda Jo.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022, in the outdoor chapel at Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Bookout officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery.

Viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Roberts and Son Funeral Home and on Thursday prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, sent in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
