Carol Lo Kiel Denney of Black Canyon City, Arizona, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in her daughter’s home in Glendale, Arizona at the age of 78 years.

Lo Kiel was born on November 4, 1938 in Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles and Clella May Constant. She grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School in 1956. In Blackwell, she met George O. Denney III, and they were married and together for fifty years until his passing in 2007.

Lo Kiel was happily involved serving in churches alongside her husband, George, for many years. She taught Bible study classes at church for children up through senior adults. She also served on committees in their churches as needed. Lo Kiel enjoyed singing in the church choir. In later years of her life, she was part of the “Impact Choir” of Phoenix, AZ which she enjoyed so much. She was also trained and active volunteering with Arizona Disaster Relief, and received a special service award with them several years ago. Most of all, Lo Kiel loved the Lord and the family He gave her! She felt called by God to serve alongside George in his church ministry, and in their home as they raised five children together. Lo Kiel was known by all as patient, hard-working, loving, and wise!

Lo Kiel is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Byron Lee Constant; and husband.

She is survived by her five children, George Denney IV (Linda) of Jenks, OK, Trudy McDermott (Tim) of Houston, TX, Terry Denney (Hong) of Houston TX, Dixie Walker (Don) of Gallatin, TN, and Celeste Harvey (Jason) of Glendale, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Darcy Danson (Greg) of Boone, NC, Tyler Denney of Jenks, OK, Aleana Ramento (Andrew) of Manford, OK, Sara Piercy (Nathan) of Houston, TX, Michelle McDermott of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Denney of Houston, TX, and Joey Walker of Gallatin, TN; and four great-grandchildren, Bauer Danson, London Piercy, Lyla Danson, and Anderson Piercy.
