Linda Mae Klinger Thomas Danner of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Sunday, February 8, 2015, in the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 73 years.

Linda Mae Klinger Thomas Danner was born on May 9, 1941, on a farm near Burbank, Oklahoma, to August and Thelma (Hardin) Klinger. As a young girl her family moved to Kildare, Oklahoma, where she grew up attending elementary school. She then attended Ponca City Junior High and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1959. In 1961 she married Joseph Thomas and they settled in Peckham. She worked as a waitress for Gene's Café in Newkirk for several years before working as an x-ray technician at the Ponca City Medical Center. In 1980 she began working in the cutting department for Southwest Cupid in Blackwell and worked there until her retirement in 2007. In May of 2008 she began working for the Blackwell Public Schools as a cafeteria hostess and was currently working in that position at Blackwell Elementary School. She was a member of the Blackwell Women's Bowling League. She enjoyed bowling, watching soap operas and game shows, but her greatest joy came from attending her grandchildren's various activities.

She is survived by two daughters, Shawn Gann and Ronald Burke of Blackwell and Kelli and Lance Bergman of Blackwell; two sons, Joe Thomas of Blackwell and Jim Thomas of Newkirk; two brothers, Kenneth Klinger and wife Shirley of Ponca City and Doug Klinger of Bernice; two sisters, Doris Craycraft and husband Don of Chandler and Wanda Morgan and husband Richard of Ponca City; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Klinger and Vivian Tipton; a brother, Richard Klinger; and a sister-in-law, Gladys Klinger.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12th in the Immanuel Baptist Church in Blackwell with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Colton Dell, Coy Manley, Nathan Golay, Kaden Thomas, Hunter Thomas and Blake Bergman. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Karlie Tucker, Talon Tucker, Laine Tucker, Sage Tucker and Gentry Manley.

A memorial has been established in her honor with Blackwell Elementary School in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
