Wanda Louise Bartosovsky was born on November 23, 1937, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to William David and Mable Lee (McCoy) Barrows. She grew up in Newkirk attending Newkirk Public Schools. During her junior high school years, she moved with her family to Blackwell where she attended Blackwell Public Schools. She married Paul Burris and they made Blackwell there home. She later married Bernard Bartosovsky in 1964 and they continued to make Blackwell their home. She worked for Turvey’s Packing Company for ten years before working at the Blackwell Nursing Home and Blackwell Regional Hospital. In 1995 she moved with her family to Waggoner, Oklahoma, where she worked for King Louie Manufacturing. In 1999 she returned to Blackwell and began working for Bipo, Inc. and was working there at the time of her death. She loved fishing, camping, playing video games and bingo and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Gary Bartosovsky and wife Linda of Medford, Oklahoma; a daughter, Darlene Huskey and husband Mike of Warner, Oklahoma; two brothers, David Barrows of Blackwell and Charlie Barrows of Blackwell; a sister, Loretha Lee Watts of Springtown, Texas; five grandchildren, Darius Bartosovsky, Jacey Huskey, Christopher Huskey, Amanda Jo Conner and Elizabeth Huskey; and a great grandchild, Kaitlyn Dawn Conner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William David Barrows and Mable Lee Woods; and a brother, Billy Barrows.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2008, in the Blackwell Cemetery with Rev. Eugene Jenkins of Edmond, Oklahoma, officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Michael Huskey, Christopher Huskey, Mark McRae, Scott Ellington, Alejandro Robies and Wade Magnuson.

A memorial has been established with the St. Jude’s Children’s Memorial Hospital in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home
