Dale Anderson of Blackwell, Oklahoma passed away early Sunday morning, May 1, 2016 at his home at the age of 80 years. Olan Dale Anderson was born on July 14, 1935 to Millard Anderson and Leona (Greer) Anderson in Alex, Oklahoma. He spent 12 years with the United States Army, and married Martha (Randolph) Anderson in Newkirk, Oklahoma on August 19, 1976. Dale enjoyed working on cars, tinkering with anything that needed fixing, and making his ribs.

He is survived by wife Martha Anderson of Blackwell, Oklahoma; daughters Shannon Anderson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Lisa Hand of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, and Debra Olsen and husband Winn of Richmond, Washington; sons Allen Scott and wife Samantha of Spokane, Washington, Allen Anderson and wife Melanie of Bastrop, Texas, Chuck Anderson and wife Jeri of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Bobby Ray Anderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters Ellafaye Irwin of Fort Worth, Texas, Peggy Baker of Bowie, Texas, and Judy Jaques of Nashville, Arkansas; two brothers Tony Anderson of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Jimmy Anderson of Brownsfield, Texas; as well as 15 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his second wife Karen Joan Ramsey Anderson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Blackwell Tabernacle with Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery with military rites performed by the United States Army.

Casketbearers will be Christopher Anderson, Michael Anderson, Clifford Anderson, Ben Bryan, David Thompson, and Brandon Bales.

Honorary casketbearers will be Dean Sheppard, Cameron Edwards, Mike Shepherd, Scott Shepherd, and Mike Johnson.

A memorial has been established in his honor with the Wounded Warrior Project c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
