Graveside Services for Franklin L. Nanney, Sr., 74, of Tishomingo will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 at 2:00 p. m. at the Troy Cemetery with Brother Earl White officiating. Mr. Nanney passed away on May 6th, at his home.

Frank was born on April 16th, 1937 in Lehigh, Oklahoma to Andrew Nanney and Gladys Kemp Nanney. He grew up in this area and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, being Honorably Discharged after 8 years of service. He worked for the J & L Steel Mill in Indiana as a machinist for 28 years, before moving to Tishomingo in 1988. Frank worked for the Tishomingo Public Schools in the maintenance department and later for Hart Electric until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Dorothy Butler Nanney and a brother, Leon Nanney.

Frank is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Nanney & Gregory Nanney, both of Hammond, Indiana and Frank Nanney, Jr. of Hobart, Indiana; two daughters, Vanessa Nanney and Melissa Nanney-Rogers, both of Hammond; his brother, Fred Brown of Reagan, Oklahoma; his sisters, Margaret Sporieder of Colquitt, Georgia; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; his best friend and companion, Marsha Collins of Tishomingo; and other relatives.
