Clark's Funeral Service

Funeral Services for George S. Keel, 74, of Norman, Oklahoma will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with Brother Jerry Imotichey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Troy Cemetery in the Troy Community with Military Honors provided by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard. Mr. Keel passed away on Tuesday, March 16th, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

George was born on September 28, 1935 in Troy, Oklahoma to Archison Keel and Pearl Wilson Keel. He graduated from high school in Ravia, Oklahoma and also from Murray State College in Tishomingo.

George served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1960. After his discharge, he lived in California for many years and worked as a carpenter in construction.

He lived in Las Vegas for a time, where he met and married Shirley Marley on August 31, 2000. He returned to Oklahoma in 2009.
