Funeral Services to honor and celebrate the life of Bobby Joe Ardrey will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 6, 2019 at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment to follow at Tishomingo Cemetery.

Bobby Joe Ardrey went to be with the Lord December 2nd 2019. Born to Edgar Ardrey and Lola Belle Chapman on October 20th 1937 in Bennington, Oklahoma. Shortly after graduating high school in 1954 Bob enlisted in the Army, Bob was 82nd Airborne Division Battery “B” (105MM) and was with the 319th Artillery Division Oklahoma National Guard, Kansas National Guard and mastered multiple skills including Sharp Shooting. Serving tours in Lebanon and Germany Bob was Honorably discharged and moved home to Oklahoma and married the love of his life, Elaine Antoinette Ardrey (Ann). In 1963 they moved to Kansas Bob took a position as an elementary school teacher, while teaching elementary school Bob received three masters degrees all in early childhood development. From 1963 to 1997 while teaching Bob was instrumental in starting numerous after school programs for children including intramural sports programs Bob taught swimming, coached track and field, basketball, and football in the schools that he taught. Bob started the Salina Track Club in Salina Kansas with two dear friends, Russ Jones and Austin Allen. Bob was a decathlete, triathlete, ran marathons, half marathons, 10ks and 5ks. He was also an avid snow skier and water skier.

Bob is survived by his and Ann’s 4 children Patti Einfeldt, married to Mark Einfeldt, Phil Ardrey, Robin Ardrey-Heath married to Walter Heath and Mike Ardrey and his fiancé Megan Fanning. Bob and Ann have 4 grandchildren, Nathan Zahn, Married to Susan Zahn. Austin Ardrey, Arlton Ardrey, and Parks Ardrey Ledwell. and 3 great grandchildren, Damon, Dylan, and Braelyn Zahn.
