Graveside Services for Mrs. Vallie Mae Sears Cecil, 89, of Ardmore, Oklahoma (formerly of Wapanucka, Oklahoma) will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 at 11:00 a. m. at the Russett Cemetery with Rev. Dee Boyt officiating.

Mrs. Cecil passed away on October 10th, 2014 at the Woodview Home in Ardmore. Vallie Mae was born on November 16th, 1924 in Illinois Bend, Texas to Hampton L. Camp and Gladys (Smith) Camp. She attended schools in Dickson, Lone Grove and Wilson, Oklahoma and moved to Johnston County in 1973. She lived in Wapanucka for a time, returning to Ardmore in 1995. She loved playing aggravation with anyone who would play with her and would usually beat them. She also enjoyed quilting, dancing, crocheting, yard work, her flowers, working puzzles, the senior citizens centers and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cecil was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Barnett Sears, her husband, Kenneth Cecil, a brother, Roy Camp, five sisters, Loeta McConnell, Dorothy Maxwell, Corena Bridgeman, Margaret Halsey and Sina Covington, granddaughter, Tammy Sears and great-grandson, Nathan Harrison.

She is survived by eleven children, Melba Erwin of Kingston, Oklahoma, Lonnie Sears and wife Pearlene of Ardmore, Lorene Howard of Marietta, Oklahoma, Beverly Doggett and husband Danny of Joshua, Texas, Leo Sears and wife Margaret of Wilson, Oklahoma, Jackie Sears and wife Arlene of Cleburne, Texas, Keith Sears and partner, Bill Lish of Dallas, Linda Cryer and husband Kevin of Kingston, Johnny Sears and wife Penny of Ardmore, Peggy Reeder and husband Ronald of Ardmore and Dale Cecil of Frankston, Texas, three sisters, Alta Parker of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Beatrice Duane and husband Bob of Dallas, and Nelda Dickerson, a brother, Weldon Camp and wife Virginia of Ardmore, twenty-five grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
