Raymond L. Stowers , born Dec. 8, 1940 at Monte Vista, Co to Ben and Beulah
Stowers , died July 28, 2006 at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Ray resided in Oklahoma City most of his life. He graduated from Watsonville High school and served in the U.S. Army. On September 1, 1989 Ray married Betty Davis. Ray is a retired truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his grandkids. Ray's favorite thing to do was having family and friends at the lake for his fish fries. Ray will be missed by his family, many friends, and his fishing buddies.

He is survived by his wife Betty Stowers of the home; 2 sons: Danny Stowers of OKC, BJ Stowers and wife Letha of Moore; 5 daughters: Rhonda Prescott and husband Steve of Del City, Delena Carroll and husband Richard, Tammy Matthews and husband Leo, Tracey Yarnell and husband James, and Shannon Gesiakowski, all of OKC; 1 sister, Rosalee Crafton and husband Bill of Piggott, AR; 21 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Beulah Stowers ; 1 sister, Fern Baylor; and 1 brother, Calvin Stowers .

A private graveside service is pending for the family and burial will be at Ravia Cemetery with Brother Davenport officiating.
