Funeral Services for Mrs. Dorothy (Fagan) Peters, 99, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2015 at 11:00 a. m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Dye officiating. A committal service will be held later the same day at the Ravia Cemetery.

Dorothy (Fagan) Peters passed away on Friday, February 27th, 2015 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 99 years. She was the eighth of nine children born to Henry Edward Fagan and Susie Charlotte (Mills) Fagan on August 5th, 1915. Dorothy graduated from Ravia High School and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from East Central State Teachers College in Ada, Oklahoma. She married James "Frosty" Peters on January 23rd, 1937 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on June 1st, 1988. She retired from Murray State College after twenty plus years of service that included, serving as Administrative Assistant to Presidents, Dr. Charles Grady, Dr. Freeman McKee and Dr. Clyde Kindell. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Holisso Study Club and a charter member of the Johnston County Hospital Auxillary, (now, Mercy Hospital of Tishomingo).

She will be fondly remembered as a great and loving mother and loving grandmother who enjoyed reading, fishing, watching birds in her back yard and playing bridge. Dorothy is survived by her son, Jamess M. Peters and wife Barbara of Oklahoma City, two grandchildren, Michael S. Peters and wife Amy and Julie A. (Peters) Knudtson and jhusband Eric, all of Oklahoma City, four great-grandchildren, Rachel Peters, aaron Peters, Claire Knudtson and Margot Knudtson, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Honorary Pallbearers include, Rex Morrell, Wendell Blair, Fred Poe, Ernest Jemison, Gary Wyatt, S. R. Robinson, Lester Powell and Lewis Parkhill.
