Services for Wynona “Sue” McSwain, 89, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7,
2023 at the Fitzhugh First Baptist, Rev. Steve Wilburn will officiate.
Burial
will follow at Ravia Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00
p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Ms. McSwain passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at a local nursing home. She was
born August 16, 1933 at Russett, Oklahoma to Clayton Lloyd and Bertha Mable
Frisby Tweedy.
Ms. McSwain was a Switchboard Operator and Receptionist for Vision Bank in Ada
until her retirement. She had been an active member of Fitzhugh Baptist Church
where she participated in the 5th Sunday Singing; was a Cook and Sponsor for
Falls Creek Church Camp for 16 years; and had taught Sunday School in her
younger years and was a Substitute Teacher later. And she had served as the
Mayor of Fitzhugh for two terms.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Fouse of Durant and Gena McSwain of Del
City; a son, Clay Nelson McSwain of Locust Grove, who passed away Sunday, June
4, 2023; four grandchildren, Charlie McSwain, Ada, Jayson Fouse, Durant, Casey
McSwain, Ada and Jonathan “Bear” Fouse, Durant; and other relatives and friends.
Bearers will be Brian Blansett, Joey Morrow, Shane Ellison, Wayne Christian,
Bill Clark and Chuck Brendle. Honorary bearers will be Don Boatright, Hershel
Williams and Mickey Wells.
The family says those who wish may make memorials to the Falls Creek Cabin,
Fitzhugh First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 177, Fitzhugh, OK 74843.
