Ruby Marie (Nelson) Barnes of Stilwell, Oklahoma was born on Jan. 16, 1921 to Susie and Isaac Nelson.  She passed away on January 26, 2021 in Stilwell at the remarkable age of 100 years old.

 
Ruby was a homemaker, worked on the farm with her husband and then worked at Stilwell Foods from 1976 until her retirement. She had the opportunity to travel with her daughter and family overseas to London and Paris for a trip of a lifetime. She enjoyed reading, doing crosswords and visiting with family and friends. She also attended every Strawberry Festival that she could over the 70 years she lived in Stilwell. Ruby was also an avid church goer and attended the First Methodist Church in Stilwell. 

She was preceded in death by husband E. Quenten Barnes of 60 years, daughter Carolynn Harris and son Emmett Quenten Barnes II, her parents, along with her siblings.
 
She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving family which includes her grandchildren, Stephanie Harris of Bartlesville, OK and Ian Harris of Holly Spring, North Carolina. Many friends and other relatives also survive her.

 
There will be visitation at Roberts-Reed-Culver Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Services will be held graveside in Pontotoc Cemetery in Pontotoc, Oklahoma on Feb. 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m..
