Kenneth Edward Whitmire, 68, of Kenefic, OK went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. He was born on April 13, 1946 to James Edward and Lydia Ray (Markham) Whitmire in Durant, OK.

Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Bryan County. He attended school in Kenefic Schools before going to Caddo High School. He married the love of his life, Kathy Sue White, on January 22, 1966 in Durant, OK. Kenneth worked as a carpenter and car salesman. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed computers, hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father James Edward Whitmire, mother Lydia Ray Whitmire, and brother George Andrew Whitmire.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Kathy Whitmire of the home, son Brett Whitmire of Kenefic, OK, son David Whitmire and wife Gayelynn of Kenefic, OK, granddaughters; Samantha Whitmire of Las Vegas, NV and Whitney Whitmire of Tulsa, OK, grandson; Richie Whitmire of Las Vegas, NV, Tanner Whitmire of Coleman, OK, Justin Whitmire, Dakota Whitmire, and Dillon Whitmire all of Kenefic, OK.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 2:00pm at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro. Randy Tadlock will be officiating with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Nida, OK. Condolences can be sent to www.brownsfuneralservice.comm. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant, OK.
