Mary Lou West, 88, of Coleman, Oklahoma passed from this life on March 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on April 24, 1937, in Kenefic, Oklahoma to Leonard and Winnary Speaks. Mary attended and graduated from Coleman Public School. She married the love of her life, Robert Lenard West on October 26, 1953, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Mary was a homemaker and a beautician. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Folsom Freewill Baptist Church in Coleman, Oklahoma. Mary enjoyed fishing, quilting, doing puzzles, and watching game shows.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Leonard Shelby (Bob) Speaks and Winnary Bell (Winnie) Speaks, husband; Robert West, sister; Betty Jo Dooley, grandson; Steven Lane West, and great- granddaughter; Trinity McCathern.

She is survived by her son; Randal West and spouse Tammy of Coleman, Oklahoma, son; Ronnie West and spouse Sally of Coleman, Oklahoma, grandson; Kolton West of Corpus Christi, Texas, granddaughter; Candace Vansickle and spouse Hilton of Boswell, Oklahoma, grandson; Tommy Evans and spouse Nancy of Dinuba, California, grandson; Daniel Evans and spouse Jessica of Orosi, California, granddaughter; April Busby and spouse Dee of Durant, Oklahoma, granddaughter; Millie Dibble and spouse Sam of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and 7 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Brown’s Funeral Service chapel in Durant, Oklahoma.

A funeral service for Mary will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Folsom Freewill Baptist Church in Coleman, Oklahoma with Earl White and Randy Tadlock officiating.

Interment will take place at Coleman Cemetery with Terry Dupree, Bobby Dupree, Jerry Dupree, Lynn Dupree, Joe Dupree, and Jose Guerrero serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Morris (Bub) Sampson, Billy Nelson, James Black, and Shawn Culver. Services are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
