Funeral services for Anita Beaird, 47, of Murphy, Texas, who died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, in Murphy, Texas, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Northwest Church of Christ in Durant. Greg Clay will officiate.

Beaird was born Monday, Nov. 13, 1961, in Durant, to Marlan Eugene and Geneva Annette (Teel) Beaird.

She was a member of the Church of Christ. She loved to travel all over the world. Dog agility competition was her passion with her labs Katie and Brie. She enjoyed photography and making jewelry. She was a project manager for Mary Kay.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Walter and Edna Teel and Otto and Janie Beaird.

She is survived by her parents, sister Shirley Beaird Weigel and husband John Greenboro, N. C., and uncle Don Teel and wife Pam of Lake Eufala.

Burial will be at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Taylor, Joe Edington, Charles McGee, Roger Watson, Don Teel and Trey Collier.

The family would like to send a very special thank you to Ruth Mynatt of Vitas Hospice of Dallas, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of North America and the M. D. Anderson of the American Cancer Society.
