James George Todd, 76, passed away on February 10, 2026, at his home. James was born on April 10, 1949, in Harrisonville, Missouri, to George Washington Todd and Iva Mae (Bills) Todd.

On May 4, 1968, he married the love of his life, Joyce Marie Chamberlain. Their marriage was the highlight of his life, and together they built a strong and loving family. James spent his early working years at Allis Chalmers where he later retired. He spent his later working years as a truck driver. He was a hardworking man who believed in giving 100% in everything you do. He taught his family to be strong, to keep going no matter what, to always do their best, and to never feel like they “had to” do anything — but to choose to do it well. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and four-wheeling, especially riding with his brothers. He was known for making the best beans and cornbread and unforgettable hamburgers with brown gravy. Above all, he loved being married to Joyce and being a dad to his daughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington and Iva Mae Todd; his brother, Paul Todd; his sister-in-law, Sharon Todd and his grandson Jonathan Hammond.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Joyce Todd; his daughters, Marcella Pierce and husband Wayne, Martha Waldie and husband Tommy, Iva Roberts and husband Chris, and Georgia Bozarth and husband David; his grandchildren, Dawn Pierce and partner Hope, Dalton Pierce, Derek Pierce, Tyler Hammond and wife Jessika. Levi Sanders and girlfriend Brianna, Peyton Roberts, James Bozarth, Kayden Singleton, Cody and Ashley Waldie and Kyle and Grace Waldie; his great-grandchildren, Taylen Sanders, Elizabeth Pierce, Liam Pierce, Paisley Waldie, Maverick Waldie, Jameson Waldie, Daylin, Mac, Diesel, Zayden and Madilynn; his brother, Dale Todd; his sister-in-law, Alice Todd; and a host of other family and friends.

James will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic, his love for the outdoors, and the deep devotion he had for his wife and family.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Butcher Pen Cemetery.
