Clark Funeral Service

Funeral Services for Frank J. Butler, 81, of the Butcher Pen Community will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Chapel with Brother Wayne Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Bee Cemetery. Mr. Butler passed away on Sunday, March 7th at the Integris Marshall Memorial Hospital in Madill.

Frank was born on June 9, 1928 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Jim William Butler and Tressie May Webb Butler. He grew up in this area and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He married Wilma Lee Barnhill on March 12, 1972 in Durant and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2005. Frank worked for many years as a commercial truck driver and was a member of the Teamster’s Union. He had also been the Fire Chief in the Butcher Pen community and enjoyed fishing as one of his hobbies.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Lee Hudson and Lenora Ann Butler; and an infant brother, Jimmy J. Butler.

Mr. Butler is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Lou Ellen & J. D. Scott of The Colony, Texas and Rosemary & Mac Galvan of Garland, Texas; his son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Sonya Butler of Arlington, Texas; two step-children, Brenda Williams of Dallas, Texas and Charles Williams of North Richland Hills, Texas; three brothers & two sisters-in-law, J. D. & Lenora Butler, Gilbert Butler and Johnny & Carolyn Butler, all of Ardmore; the mother of his children, Mary Butler of Dallas and his fiancé, Lois Scott; also, six grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for the service will be: John Scarborough, J. W. Hallmark, Johnny Earl Butler, Jim Sullivan, David Sweden and Garyle Morgan. Honorary Bearers will be: James Sullivan and Okie Berry.
