TISHOMINGO -- Services for Hazel Mae Goins will be at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 25, 2005, at the Church of the Nazarene in Tishomingo with the Rev. Dick Sowder officiating.

Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Ringling Memorial Cemetery in Ringling under the direction of Clark Funeral Home .


Born on Dec. 25, 1918, in Oswalt, Okla., to Mose and Maggie McGough Hull, she passed away at the age of 86 on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at the local hospital.
She and LaVern Goins were married on Jan. 10, 1938, in Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963; a daughter, Barbara Jean Goins; her parents; seven brothers, Erwin, Frank, H.H. "Spooks," Wesley "Booger," Earl "Dick," Clyde "Jack," and Floyd "Doe;" three sisters, Alice "Sis" Morton, Ethel "Dutch" Allison and Lillie "Lil" Coyle.


Hazel was a beautician in Oklahoma City and Ardmore for 47 years, receiving a Certificate of Recognition from the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, and Church of the Nazarene in Tishomingo . She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and she dearly loved being a caregiver to everyone.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gene Lafitte, Tishomingo ; brother, William "Chick" Hull and wife, Hardena, Marietta; grandchildren, Karen Davenport, Dallas, Glenn Lafitte and wife, Leah, Tulsa, and Suzanne Rankins and husband Stanley, Tishomingo ; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Griffin, Bailey, Justin and Cortney; numerous relatives and friends, including her most dear friend and companion, Linda Jolly, Tishomingo .

Her nephews will serve as active and honorary bearers.

Memorials can be made to a charity of choice.
