GLENDA ANN MARBLE

Glenda Marble, age 80 of Lexington and recently of Nocona, TX, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020, at United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, TX. Glenda Ann Waller was born October 5, 1940 in Mangum, OK, the younger of two daughters born to Clyde Austin Waller and Mabel Louise (Lawson) Waller. Glenda was raised in Blair and attended school there, graduating with the Broncs Class of 1958. Glenda’s life would change forever, October 3, 1960, when she married her lifelong neighbor and friend, Clarence Ray Marble. They made their first home in Amarillo, Texas before settling in Prague in 1975 with many places in between. Together they raised four children, Kristie, the twins, Paul and Paula, and Patrick. Glenda worked for Prague Public Schools in the cafeteria for several years. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed quilting, and she shared her talent with friends and family. She enjoyed woodworking with Clarence and tending to her garden, and she never missed an opportunity to curl up with a good book. When Clarence retired, he and Glenda loaded up in an RV and for the next 14 years, traveled the country, where fishing became her newest obsession. Glenda often recalled this as her happiest days. She was a woman of great faith; a wonderful mother, the best grandmother and great grandmother, and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!She was preceded in death by: her son, Paul Dean Marble; her husband, Clarence Marble; parents, Clyde and Mabel Waller and sister, Alma Davis. Glenda is survived by: son, Pat Marble and wife Stacy of Chandler, OK; daughters, Kristie Johnson and husband Clay of Lexington and Paula Peterson and husband Todd of Nocona, TX; 5 grandchildren, Lizzy, Zane, Stephanie, Matthew and Ashley; 3 great grandchildren, Jennifer, Jade and Johnathan and a host of other family and friends.Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M.
