Alyene Kay

The Woodward News, Mon Jan 21, 2013, 10:39 AM CST Woodward, Okla. - Alyene Kay, 87, Altus, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Rod Smith officiating. Burial was in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.
Alyene Hudson was born on September 26, 1925, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Coyet and Eva (Watson) Hudson. She grew up and graduated from Wynnewood High School. She married Paul Kay on September 2, 1942, in Wynnewood. She worked as an office manager for International Crystal, NAPA Auto Parts, and Wilson Meat Plant in Oklahoma City. She then worked for the family business at Kay Electric from 1965 until the late 1990s. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Altus Literary Club, and the Jackson County Democratic Women. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, golfing, and traveling.
Her parents, a sister, Muriel Kay, and a son-in-law, Dean Hensley, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Kay, of the home; a daughter, Judy Glisson and husband, Ron, of Woodward, OK; a son, Hershel Kay and wife, Barbara, of Altus, OK; six grandchildren, Terry McAskill and husband, Gary, of Woodward, OK, Curtis Hensley and wife, Kari, of Woodward, OK, Tim Hensley and wife, Kindra, of Merlin, Texas, Greg Kay and wife, Cheri, of Altus, OK, Jeff Kay and wife, Sherry, of Elgin, OK, and Sarah Kay of Lawton, OK; 12 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
